Moments for Lebanon Returns to Paris, Transforming Memory into Impactful Support
Paris, France—From June 5 to June 7, 2026, the art initiative “Moments for Lebanon” will host its second edition, titled “Fragments of Memorabilia,” at Galerie au Roi in Paris. This charity event aims to promote solidarity with Lebanon amid ongoing humanitarian needs.
Embracing Memory Through Art
Founded by a collective of Lebanese diaspora, the initiative seeks to capture the fragmented essence of Lebanon. It reflects a shared experience through scents, sounds, and memories, while highlighting the enduring impact of home that transcends geographical distance. The upcoming edition combines visual art and live performances, creating a space for remembrance and community engagement.
Previous Successes and Future Aspirations
In its inaugural edition in November 2024, the event attracted approximately 1,000 visitors over two days and successfully raised EUR 73,000. Proceeds supported prominent organizations including Beit El Baraka, the Lebanese Red Cross, and Rotary Lebanon. This year’s edition is poised for greater impact through collaboration with Hayaty Diaries, a nomadic gallery in London, and Art for Beirut, an NGO established in response to the Beirut port explosion in 2020. Previous partnerships have seen Art for Beirut raise over USD 390,000 through charity auctions.
Diverse Artistic Representation
The 2026 event will feature more than 140 artworks by over 90 creators worldwide, representing a mix of established and emerging talents. Participating artists include Joana Hadjithomas, Khalil Joreige, Zena Assi, and Rania Matar.
The centerpiece of the exhibition will be “Fragments,” a collective installation comprising over 100 small-scale artworks, each measuring about 20 by 20 centimeters, assembled into a cohesive wall-based composition. In addition, larger pieces will be available for purchase, with the exhibition set to include live programming featuring musical performances.
Addressing Vital Needs
All proceeds from this edition will go directly to four organizations actively engaged in humanitarian efforts within Lebanon: Arc en Ciel, Beit El Baraka, the Lebanese Red Cross, and Offre Joie. These organizations provide essential services, including emergency response, food security, and healthcare to vulnerable communities.
A Shared Experience of Home
The exhibition will reflect on the memories and objects that connect individuals to their notion of home. It presents memorabilia not merely as nostalgia but as the tangible evidence of lived experiences. This collection encapsulates the light of a cherished room, the return of a familiar scent, or the texture of everyday rituals, forging a connection that transcends borders.
