Dar al Funoon, which translates to “House of the Arts,” aims to provide a dedicated venue for the performing arts in the capital. It will feature top-tier acoustics and an orchestra pit accommodating up to 120 musicians, making it suitable for international-scale productions.
In addition to the main hall, the venue will include a 3,500-seat outdoor amphitheater for large events and festivals, a 400-seat studio theater for experimental and community productions, and a 250-seat jazz venue intended for more intimate performances. The comprehensive program will also encompass dining and retail spaces, along with a rooftop terrace designed for special occasions.
